trip description
Point Molate Beach is just North of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. The beach’s shape is a protected crescent moon covered by trees. Beyond the beach lies relics of San Francisco Bay’s industrial past. To the South and West are the Chevron Refinery Dock and Shipping Channel going from the Golden Gate to San Pablo Bay.

The Social Route is Green. The Adventure Route is Blue. With the exception of crossing the shipping lane en route to Red Rock (crossing shipping lanes is standard procedure on the SF Bay), we’ll be avoiding the areas highlighted in “red”: Chevron Dock Operating Area (South) and Shipping Lanes (West).
